Resolved Question: Help on Paintball Please, I'm a Beginner?

Hi, I'm hoping to start playing Paintball soon with my friends and I would like to know the basics on Paintball such as the terms and everything. I've looked up some guns to see the variety but some words are pretty new to me. I see words like: Tactical, Marker, Custom, Launcher, and can you tell me some other ones I might come across. I have some other questions as well. Why do some guns look like actual guns and others just have a long barrel and look pretty basic? Is it just for looks, or does it make it easier for the user?? Is Paintball an expensive sport? The guns seems very expensive but does getting a field and everything cost a ton? Is there like a membership or something I could get? I read that there are different types of games, but are there different rules? Is it like a one hit, you're out kind of game? I would also like some tips on the Gear, Brands, and Guns for beginners please. Thank You Very Much!(:

Im into guns, shooting, tactical gear, food stockpiling, emergency medical, hiking & camping, weight lifting, running and stuff like that. the problem is all my old "friends" think im crazy for wanting to be prepared for an emergency and other types of disasters. they rather sit around, drinking alcohol and smoking pot. i think they are crazy for not caring to be prepared. I know if something big happens in this country(USA) they will be the first ones running to me for help, but i dont want to help people that dont want to help themselves. so i guess my question is: How/where(in the los angeles area) can i meet new friends that really live the survivalist/prepper lifestyle? how do i approach them?

Ok, I am just starting out playing real airsoft, found a local airsoft group and want to get real gear, not the $55 Walmart BS. I want to be a sniper, but with Airsoft GI's great selection I do not know what I should get, even when it comes down to tactical gear I cannot decide, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

well i was wondering if i had to be some type of L.E.O. in order to make purchases from them (copsplus.com) or any other online cop store(s).
